Jay Gedir is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Fish, Wildlife and Conservation Ecology. He is originally from Canada and received his B.Sc. from the University of Guelph (Canada), M.Sc. from the University of Reading (UK), and Ph.D. from the University of Alberta (Canada). Jay has conducted postdoctoral research in the UK, Canada, New Zealand, and the US. His research interests include vertebrate population dynamics, reintroduction and conservation ecology, Bayesian inference, large mammal ecology and management, raptor demographic modeling, predator-prey relationships, wildlife resource selection, and vertebrate sex allocation.
